BYU Law Leads Giving Cougsday for Second Consecutive Year!
Written by Kelsey Warner
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our students, friends, and alumni, BYU Law topped the Giving Cougsday university leaderboard for the second consecutive year! We surpassed our goal of 400 donors, reaching a total of 457, and raised $77,407 during the campus-wide giving event on October 21–22, 2025.
Participation across the Law School community was outstanding. Our Giving Cougsday table in the Law School building helped spread awareness and encouraged students, faculty, and staff to join in. Donors were able to spin our prize wheel and win fun items, from candy to Cosmo masks to BYU Law t-shirts. To boost student engagement, a class competition was organized, rewarding the first class to reach 50 donors with a pizza and karaoke night at Nico’s Pizza.
Every donation, no matter the size, made a difference. Each milestone of 100 donors unlocked $4,750 in “extra impact” gifts, adding nearly $20,000 in additional support for BYU Law. The funds raised during this event will directly support key initiatives that enrich the student experience, including 1L Academies, scholarships, and the Proximus Fund.
Giving Cougsday 2025 showcased the strength and spirit of the BYU Law community. We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated and helped make this a record-setting and successful event!
